Nigel and Tracy acquired the Butchers Arms in February 09. Tracy, mum of Karl (20) pictured, is also a registered nurse but still plays an important role as hostess and will always welcome you with a warm smile.

Nigel, trained as a chef in 1974 and is also a registered nurse; however, he does have plenty of experience as a publican. Nigel was landlord of the Kestor Inn, Manaton between 1987-1997 and helped build a very successful pub specialising in home cooked meals, superb steaks and offering a wide selection of real ales, all at a very reasonable price.

Now at The Butchers Arms you can enjoy the very same menu and recipes from the popular moorland inn. Our aim is to maintain the traditions of an English village pub as, alas, there are not many left.....
